The reason that AI and billion gallon water-cooling datacenters keep being foisted upon us is that this is the only way that the Owners of the World can mind, manage, surveil every human on the planet.
They can also use it just like this as "whoops" we just killed a bunch of people with our AI Medicine, Robots will do better next time. (Robots Botching Stuff).
Same with war, soldiers. Blame the Bots for whatever they wish to inflict.

I have said a few times that it is only a matter of time until someone puts AI in charge of water management resulting in it hallucinating a reservoir or two and causing a crisis. It seems inevitable to me based on all the people I have seen inexplicably trusting AI despite it constantly hallucinating and making up data.
I cannot however rule out the potential for that to happen deliberately. If enough of civilization becomes dependent on AI then whoever controls that AI need only tweak a few parameters to collapse civilization.
Imagine a society in which traffic lights, police dispatches, the power grid and train schedules are run by AI and then someone decides to change the core code such that 1 = 0.
This is just the beginning Jacob. Ai will not only run hospitals, but will also be deciding who gets to live and die - it will be the judge-jury-and-executioner in Canada's MAiD program (Medical Assistance in Dying). Quite effin dystopian. The masses need to push back NOW on all this Ai sh*t.
That's another good reason they have the AI's making decisions that are life threatening cause when not if) they mess up, they can't sue the AI or fire him, BUT they should go all out on suing the hospital itself and not let them get by with this.
Here's the answer to this problem. Sue big. Sue hard. Sue long. Yes, hospital networks have staffs of lawyers, BUT a determined family can still make life difficult and hard for them. The publicity alone should effectively strip the network of both hospitals and reputation. Make life absolutely hell for them in any manner you can. Use only legal methods and tactics...which are plentiful...and drag their name through the mud as a hospital network which can't manage their business and won't own responsibility for failure. I would think about billboards which are framed outside of libel. I think of Socrates who was known as the gadfly of the state. What the family needs? Eternal determination, patience, and resolved will never to give up. They must immerse themselves in the system; learn the system, for every system has an underbelly.
This is only possible because it is the wealthy elite rulers that have built their own parallel societies, to escape the nightmare and degradation they built for everyone else.
