What I find really astounding is that so many parents don't have a problem with any of this. For your phone, switch to Graphene OS asap. Ironically, you will have to get a google pixel to do it. You can look into it on grapheneos.org or check out sideofburritos.com or his yt channel. I have used it for 4 years. Once you get used to it, it is not a big deal. You still have to "upgrade" (ahem) your phone when android stops updating (because the security risk is real), but the actual OS is a privacy OS and they will not be requiring any age verification.

I'm an Illinoisian too (unfortunately) but 20 years ago, my son and his family and I bought a house together and he isn't retirement age yet, so he's waiting until the day he is and that's when a For Sale sign will go up. I kinda think we will be long gone by then (in the Rapture), plus we are awaiting WW3 and things will change when it starts affecting us in the U.S. as in job losses, etc. Please come get us Lord, we are tired of this mess down here.
