Indiana Governor Mike Braun recently signed into law that makes the state the first in the country to implement interstate tolling, as the state seeks to phase out the gas tax in order to increase revenues to repair the state’s eroding roads. This is a first in the country.
The concept has been under discussion for years, going back to former Governor Eric Holcomb.
One study suggests tolling state interstates could bring in $40 billion in revenue over two decades.
But is this an indirect way to quietly usher in green taxes as things become increasingly more expensive?

It provides $550 billion over fiscal years 2022 through 2026 in new Federal investment in infrastructure, including in roads, bridges, and mass transit.
HALF a Trillion Dollars!!! These states are all given funds out of this and they siphon off of them for their pet projects, they never spend the monies as intended. Rather than repair a road ( the new grinder/ paving machines do a very nice job, and the pavement is less porous thus eliminating/ minimizing ice damage due to porosity ) they patch it into a patch of bumpy lumps and those tax dollars are spent else where. Eliminating the gas taxes you know good and well they are not willing to let go of that Mega Buck$$$ Income. We will pay for far more on the highways. Now Toll Cameras WILL BE EVERYWHERE. They will make it so any travel outside of 15 minutes like their cities will be too expensive for the average citizen.
Well we can rest assured they are paving their own highway to hell which is their own asphalt.
Let me count the ways in which we can screw over the plebs; by using the climate fakeness to scare them. The more they gotta pay to drive, they'll stop driving as we guilt them into saving the earth.
